Colours

Choose a black, blue, green, red, orange, purple or yellow dog lead, or go multicolour. Pick Surprise Me and I'll choose a good one from whatever rope has come in.

A note on colour: climbing rope is rarely one solid colour. When you pick Blue, the rope in your lead will have blue in it. It will be mostly blue, or about half blue with another colour running through it. We cannot promise a solid single colour, because every lead is made from real retired rope and our stock changes week to week. The same goes for every colour.

Questions people ask

Is a climbing rope dog lead strong enough?
It is made from rope designed to hold a falling climber. Climbing walls retire their rope on a schedule, long before it stops being good material, so it is considerably stronger than the nylon webbing on a typical pet shop lead.

Where does the rope come from?
Climbers and climbing walls around the UK hand in their retired ropes and I sew them into leads here in Aberdeen. Here is the story of how the lead came about.

Will mine look exactly like the photos?
No. Every lead is sewn from real retired rope, so the colours and the surface wear are different every time. Yours is a one-off.

Where is it made?
By hand in the Forma workshop in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Delivery

Dispatched within 2 to 5 working days. UK delivery £3, or free UK shipping over £28. Arrives 3 to 5 working days after dispatch. Europe £14.99, rest of world £23.99.

Packaging: it comes in kraft card packaging you can recycle. Small orders are posted in a compostable mailer bag. To be straight with you, that bag is compostable plastic and needs an industrial composting facility, not a home compost bin. Bigger orders go out in cardboard boxes reused from a local logistics company.
