Sizing: choose your true waist size. The belt is made roughly 8 inches longer than your stated size, so it closes comfortably and has room to adjust.

Each 3-rope belt is around 35 to 45mm wide with a low-profile black G-hook buckle that won't dig in or snag. Because every belt comes from real used rope, exact shades and patterns vary slightly, and that's what makes yours one of a kind.

Colours

Choose a black, blue, green, red, orange, purple or yellow rope belt, or go multicolour. Pick Surprise Me and I'll choose a good one from whatever rope has come in. Three ropes side by side means the colour mixes are bolder than the 2-rope belt.

A note on colour: climbing rope is rarely one solid colour. When you pick Blue, at least one of the three ropes in your belt will be blue. It will be mostly blue, or about half blue with another colour running through it. We cannot promise all three ropes will be fully blue, because every belt is made from real retired rope and our stock changes week to week. The same goes for every colour.

What size should I order?
Your true waist size, not your trouser size. I build the belt about 8 inches longer than the size you give me so it closes comfortably and has room to adjust.

How wide is the 3-rope belt?
Around 35 to 45mm, so it is noticeably chunkier than the 2-rope belt at 25 to 30mm. Three ropes side by side also means bolder colour mixes.

What is it made of?
Nylon climbing rope, retired from UK climbing walls, sewn flat and finished with a low-profile black G-hook buckle. Here is how they get made.

Is recycled rope strong enough for a belt?
It is rope built to catch a falling climber. Walls retire it on a schedule long before it stops being good material. More on durability here.

Will mine look exactly like the photos?
No. Every belt is built from real retired rope and the stock changes week to week, so yours is a one-off.

Packaging: it comes in kraft card packaging you can recycle. Small orders are posted in a compostable mailer bag. To be straight with you, that bag is compostable plastic and needs an industrial composting facility, not a home compost bin. Bigger orders go out in cardboard boxes reused from a local logistics company.
